Chocolate Strawberries Made To Be Eaten
Chocolate Strawberries are a delicious dessert that go well with anything: champagne, hot tubs, and bed picnics. Let's walk through the process together. They need to be refrigerated, so if you do them before dinner, they'll have a chance to cool off.
Here's what you need for Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries: • Cookie sheet • Wax paper or plastic wrap • Fresh strawberries • 2 bars of sweetened dark chocolate (I prefer Lindt brand chocolate, but it's not necessary) • 1 Medium and 1 small pot
1. Take a medium sized pot and fill it with about 3 inches of water. Put it on the stove on medium heat and set a smaller pot inside the medium one so it 's resting in the hot water (This is called a double-boiler).
2. Now break up the 2 bars of dark chocolate into the small pot (The heat from the hot water the pot is resting in will melt your chocolate nice and slowly, without burning it).
3. Line your cookie sheet with a piece of wax paper, or plastic wrap (what ever you have is ok).
4. When the chocolate is totally melted, take the pot out of the hot water and set it on the counter.
5. Hold your strawberries by the stem and dunk them into the melted chocolate so they're 3/4 covered.
6. Lifting up the strawberry allows excess chocolate to drip into the pot.
7. Gently lay the strawberry on the covered cookie sheet.
8. Repeat until all the strawberries are covered.
9. Place the chocolate covered strawberries into the fridge so the chocolate can harden, and you're done!
Serve up this yummy dessert with a bottle of chilled champagne and enjoy!!
